About

Road trip! That’s cool – that’s exciting. Right?

Well, it might be, if you felt like going anywhere. But your needle is sitting below “E,” and you’ve been running on fumes for a while now. Or maybe you’re raring to go, but you don’t have enough room in the trunk for all your baggage. And it’s really weighing you down – lousy mileage.

Maybe you travel light, but you can’t make up your mind about where to go – Beaches? Mountains? Deserts? Or you know where you want to go, but just not how to get there. GPS? Shorted out. Maps? They were supposed to be in the glove compartment, but… no. Nothing but a first aid kit and a lint brush.

You’d like to go, but those tires – they’re worn to the rim. And the transmission? You should have overhauled that thing miles ago. You might not even make it, and how do you know it will be safe when you get there?

And driving the whole way is soooooo exhausting – you want to nap just thinking about it.

Pause. Explore your options. And move forward – with confidence.

Sometimes, it might seem easier to just have a “staycation” – or put things in cruise control and enjoy the ride. But you’d be missing out on a great many things.

A life full of challenges and unexpected turns is an opportunity for self-discovery, and some of your greatest growth actually occurs every time you reach a set of crossroads.

There’s no reverse. It’s all about forward motion. You can’t change your past, but you CAN gain new perspectives and ensure a better future.

I call “shotgun.”

That’s right. You’re in the driver’s seat, but I’ll be sitting next to you on the passenger side from start to finish.

Therapy can help you navigate the hairpin curves and unfamiliar territory of life, so you can keep moving forward and learning as you go. Riding shotgun, I can help you control the temperature and the music – help you read the road signs – and keep you alert to unexpected detours, roadblocks, and potholes.

Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, substance use, or you just want a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and relationships, I’ll be here to help you gain a better understanding of what drives you.

So many places to explore – so many sights unseen.

You are a person of depth and substance.

Therapy can take you to places you’ve never been – help you discover unrealized characteristics about yourself.

There aren’t too many places where you can feel safe enough – or vulnerable enough – to delve into the inner workings of your thoughts and emotions, but therapy can provide that space.

You deserve hope, health, and well-being. Moving toward a greater sense of self-actualization can bring these into your life.

All you have to do is get behind the wheel.

Reach out today. I’m excited to make that journey with you – to see where it takes you.

What are you waiting for? Hop in. Crank the ignition. Put it in “drive.”

About Me

Your search for a therapist is an important first step in addressing your concerns and offers you an opportunity to tune in to your own needs and goals. For therapy to be successful, you must feel understood and comfortable with the person who guides you through this process.

For the last seven years, I’ve helped people work through complicated feelings, change unhealthy behavior patterns, manage life transitions, and make lasting progress toward their individual goals.

As a professional counselor who holds a doctorate in health sciences with a special focus on researching resilience and its implications on mental health and change, I can help you. Let’s schedule a consultation to get started.

My educational background

I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Argosy University in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2011 and a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling Ottawa University in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2014. I went on to earn my Doctorate in Health Sciences from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona, in 2019.

At that time, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-18263). I now have expertise in treating depression, codependency, substance use, low self-esteem, highly sensitive people, relationship counseling, grief and loss counseling, healthy boundaries and relationships, self-acceptance, mental performance enhancement, mental toughness, developing resilience, and LGBTQ affirmation.

When I’m not helping clients, I love music, especially playing guitar, outdoors, and health and fitness.

Because I have an intimate understanding of how mental health can affect change, I use the therapeutic techniques I learned from years of counseling in my own life.

I look forward to entering into your personal journey with you and helping you reach your goals.

Full tank of gas? Check. Air in your tires? Check. Fluids topped off? Check. Bags packed? Check.

GPS? Oh… wait a minute. No, no, no, no! It’s not working!
